History:
A 40-year-old woman presented to Spine Surgery Specialist in Pune Dr. Sangram Rajale with complaints of neck pain for the past 5 months, along with left upper limb radicular pain, which had worsened in the last 2 days. The pain intensified with activity. She had been taking medication for 5 months, but each time she stopped, the pain would return. In the past 5 to 6 days, the pain had become extremely severe. She also reported weakness in her left hand and was unable to sleep due to the intensity of the pain, which brought her to tears. Examination Findings:
Sensory Examination:-
Reduced sensation over the left C6 dermatome
Tenderness over the left trapezius muscle
MRI Cervical Spine :-
Findings of cervical spondylosis
Disc degeneration with left paracentral and foraminal protrusion at the C5-C6 level, causing compression of the left exiting nerve root
Foraminal narrowing and minimal cord compression noted
