History :
60 year old female came to Top Spine Specialist in Pune Dr. Sangram Rajale with complaints of lower back pain with bilateral lower limb radiculopathy since 4 – 5 years. Patient also complaints of bilateral upper limb radiculopathy since 2 to 4 months. She had tingling and numbness In both lower limb. Also pain increase in in bed turning, prolonged walking and sitting from sleeping position. She could not walk for more than 5 minutes.she was an operated case of laminectomy L4 L5 done in 2018 at outside hospital.
MRI :
Her MRI findings were interpreted by Spine Specialist near Pune Dr. Sangram Rajale as disc height reduction with diffuse disc bulge with small left paracentral disc protrusion and minimal inferior migration at L4-L5 level causing bilateral lateral recess and neural foramina compromise, abutting the right exiting nerve root. Type II Modic changes with Schmorl’s nodules at L4-L5 intervertebral end plates.

L4- L5 TRANSFORAMINAL LUMBAR INTERBODY FUSION WAS PERFORMED ON 16/05/2024 UNDER GENERAL ANAESTHESIA also known as TLIF.

Condition On Discharge :
On discharge the patient was extremely comfortable and was shifted to the ward patient was made to walk on day one of the surgery and reported 100% pain relief in the radicular pain on day 2 she was made to work stair climbing and paid 3 she was discharged.
