History :

62 year old lady came to Best Spine Specialist in Pune Dr. Sangram Rajale with complains of neck pain with bilateral UPPER limb tingling numbness and reduced power. she was unable to do small activities like buttoning unbuttoning wearing the mangalsutra. She also complained of frequent falls while walking unable to sit without support for long durations. The disease had gotten so worse that why the end she couldn’t even go to washroom without taking help of her daughter she couldn’t eat food has her hand had lost complete power and couldn’t break the chapatis.

MRI:

Diffuse disc bulge with posterior marginal osteophyte formation at C4-5 level causing compression over the ventral thecal sac, cervical cord and bilateral lateral recess neural foramina compromise and compressing the bilateral exiting nerve roots.

Diffuse disc bulge with posterior marginal osteophyte formation at C5-6 level causing ventral thecal sac indentation and mild bilateral lateral recess neural foramina compromise and compressing the left exiting nerve roots.

Diffuse disc bulge with posterior marginal osteophyte formation at C6-7 level causing ventral thecal sac indentation and bilateral lateral recess neural foramina compromise and compressing the bilateral

exiting nerve roots.

Increased signal intensity in the cervical cord at C4-5 and C6-7 level with thinning of the cord

suggestive of myelomalacic changes. Mild bony canal stenosis at C4-C6 level. All these findings were noted by Best Orthopedic Spine Doctor in Pune Dr. Sangram Rajale.

Operation:

A C4-C6 posterior cervical Laminectomy was done on 28/06/2024, by Spine Surgery Specialist in Pune Dr. Sangram Rajale.

Condition On Discharge :

After the surgery by Top Spine Specialist in Pune Dr. Sangram Rajale  patient showed drastic improvement in her movements she was made to walk on day 2 of the surgery and she had become an independent ambulator by day 3 prior to this she needed support of couple of people. Her hand movements and ability to do small activities by her hand had improved by one month and she could eat food after a month on her own without needing any support. By the second month she had shown complete recovery and was functioning like any other person offer each.
