History :
A 35-year-old woman presented to Best Spine Specialist in Pune Dr. Sangram Rajale with complaints of low back pain for one year, along with bilateral lower limb pain, tingling, and numbness for three years (more prominent on the right side). She reported to Spine Pain Doctor in Pune Dr. Sangram Rajale of neurogenic claudication, sleep disturbances, difficulty with log rolling, and challenges in standing up from a sitting position and getting up from a chair. Additionally, she noted slipping of her footwear from both feet. List to the left was noted
Left EHL (Extensor Hallucis Longus) and EDL (Extensor Digitorum Longus) strength: 4/5
MRI :
Mild disc bulge with posterolateral annular tear at the L4-L5 level, with facet joint arthropathy causing ventral thecal sac indentation and bilateral neural foramina narrowing, contacting the left traversing nerve root.
Operation :
The patient underwent L4-L5 transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion under general anesthesia on 23/03/2022 by Top Spine Specialist in Pune Dr. Sangram Rajale
Condition On Discharge :
a. Patient stable
b. No episodes of fever or chills
c. Suture line dry and clean
d. No discharge
e. Patient ambulating with full weight-bearing walking
