History :
A 49-year-old lady presented to the emergency department of Neck Pain Specialist in Pune Dr. Sangram Rajale at 8:00 AM. On presentation, she had weakness in both her hands and legs. The weakness was progressive, increasing by the minute and hour.
Symptoms started after she visited a chiropractor near Pune for some manipulations of her neck and back. During the procedure, her neck was tied with a towel, and her hips were tied with a rope. The treating doctor pulled her from the neck while his assistant pulled from the hips simultaneously. This occurred the previous day. That night, she experienced mild discomfort in her neck, which she mentioned to her children, but they decided to sleep it off. By 4:00 AM, she was unable to walk without support. By 8:00 AM, when they arrived at Best Spine Hospital in Pune Dr. Sangram Rajale, she had lost significant power in her legs and hands.
In addition to the power loss, she experienced severe shooting pain in her hands and legs, along with tingling sensations. By this time, she had also lost control of her urine and bowel movements. Upon physical examination, it was determined that there was an issue with her neck, and an MRI was advised.
MRI :
This MRI report describes a lesion in the posterior epidural space, measuring 1.9 x 0.6 mm, located between the C4 and C6 vertebrae. It compresses the spinal cord between the C5 and C6 levels, causing significant neurological symptoms, including complete power loss in the upper and lower limbs indicating a posterior epidural hematoma.
Operation :
The patient underwent a C5 laminectomy decompression and epidural hematoma evacuation. The surgery was performed by Dr. Sangram Rajale, a Spine Injury Doctor in Pune, under general anesthesia. No implants were used during the surgery.
Condition On Discharge :

b) On the first day post-surgery, there was a 10% improvement in her power, reflecting a successful outcome from the surgery performed by Dr. Sangram Rajale, the Best Spine Specialist in Pune.

d) Over the next 45 days, she made remarkable progress and regained her ability to walk independently and climb stairs, demonstrating the effectiveness of the procedure by the Best Orthopedic Spine Doctor in Pune.
