History :
50 years old gentleman came to Top Spine Specialist in Pune Dr. Sangram Rajale an alleged history of severe back pain with bilateral lower limb radicular pain since last 2 months. History of sleep disturbance present due to pain. History of bowl and bladder dysfunction present since last 8 days.
He was a operated case of L4-L5 Lumbar canal stenosis for which L4-L5 discectomy and L4 laminectomy was done on 1/9/2010.
ON EXAMINATION OF SPINE :
-Gait could not be assessed due to pain and patient was bed ridden since last 3-4 days because of severe pain in low back
– Tenderness present over lower lumbar spinal region
MRI :
IMPRESSION were assessed by Best Spine Surgeons in Pune Dr. Sangram Rajale
- Post-operative status with L4-5 laminectomy.
- Disc degeneration and central disc protrusion at L4-5 level with inferior migration of the disc causing severe canal stenosis. compression of the traversing nerve roots. Facet hypertrophy noted.
Signs of infection are noted around the previous operated site

- He had minimal low back pain even after the surgery.
- But his leg pain had reduced significantly after it.

- And started him on antibiotics as per the infection controle specialist
- On 6 months follow up also his urin controle had not regained and he was using a catheter for the same
